I tell you, those Bolder Boulder 10K organizers know how to put on a race. They've already sent out the race bibs and official race t-shirts to all 50,000 runners.
Not to say that I wouldn't have been willing to stand in line at an expo to pick up my number. But hey, this will save me tons of time and stress and so I'm not going to complain. I plan on taking it easy on the course (it's high elevation). Lots of people walk it in fact. The fun is just in being there, enjoying the official start of summer and honoring our brave men and women who serve in our armed forces. Oh, did I mention that I love Colorado? Boulder has got to be one of America's greatest cities. It's safe, it has a strong economy, it's a health-focused culture (unlike where I live, sadly), and it has bucket-loads of career opportunities. In 2022 it ranked as U.S. News and World Report's number 1 metro area in the United States. I am just glad to be able to get out there, Lord willing.
Yes, I do have a life outside of teaching and blogging.
