Kissinger Dead at 100

I sketched him years ago. 


His foreign policy was: avoid the worst outcome. Which means sometimes embracing the second worst outcome. 

Foreign policy is a dirty business. Kissinger did what he thought was pragmatic. He was the ultimate Realpolitik diplomat. "America has no permanent friends or enemies, only interests," he said. Who else, for example, could have pulled off the opening with China?
