Truths about Teaching: There Are No Boring Teachers

When I started teaching in 1976, one of my Christian Education profs told me, "Remember, Dave, there are no boring teachers. If he's boring, he's not a teacher." It's a crime to be boring in the classroom or behind the pulpit. How tragic to clothe the unsearchable riches of Scripture with rags. One can't teach without knowledge. But it is possible to possess knowledge of a subject without being able to teach it. We've all known professors like that.

If you want to bore people, bore them with Plato or nuclear physics. But don't bore them with the Bible.
