This afternoon I've been listening to some of Bach's more familiar organ works. His genius is so immense that he has great fun burying aspects of it for the wise to dig out. I get the same feeling about the apostle Paul's writings. Every time I read him in Greek, I see something new, even though I've read that passage dozens of times. But it takes "lingering" in the text for this to occur. Slow reading is so underrated. Bathing oneself in the text is so rewarding.
