My morning devotions were in Philippians chapter 1.
In 1:19, the thoughts of praying and supply are very closely connected.
Paul's language suggests that the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ depends directly on our prayers for one another. In other words, here Paul views the work of the Holy Spirit as an answer to prayer. Here's one possible paraphrase:
And I am going to keep on rejoicing, because I know that as you pray for me, and as the Spirit of Jesus Christ helps me in answer to your prayers, this is all going to turn out for my deliverance.
Little wonder Paul asked others to pray for him!
