This morning I had my weekly massage on campus and it was, as usual, phenomenal. My massage therapist is an expert in all things physiological and I felt completely restored after my 90 minute session was over. I'd been "therapized" I guess you could say. This means that I will hopefully return to the gym tomorrow with a renewed commitment to a workout intensity that is high enough to trigger the body's muscle growth response but also low enough that I don't burn myself out and where I won't be putting excessive wear on my joints. You don't need to train to failure on every set, but if you're going much less than 1-2 reps short you're quite simply not going to build up your physique to its potential.
