Got my steps in today at the local park here in Wake Forest.
Joyner Park is one of several parks and greenways that have earned for Raleigh 5 stars in the "best cities for men's health" award. On the drive there guess what building you pass? Historic Wake Forest College.
I pinch myself every time I see the school where the one and only A. T. Robertson earned his M.A. degree in 1885.
Robertson is especially remembered for his his monumental weight lifting 101 textbook -- A Grammar of the Greek New Testament in the Light of Historical Research. I still require it in my Advanced Greek Grammar courses. Just as importantly, Robertson was committed to making scholarship available to your average student -- examples being his The Minister and His Greek New Testament and Word Pictures of the New Testament.
So much great history in North Carolina!
