While growing up, Kailua had a public library but no bookstore. But no more. These shelves are sagging with knowledge.
It's the one and only bookstore in town but boy does it do the job. I mostly browsed but couldn't resist buying a book about German spies in Kailua and Lanikai just before Dec. 7, 1941. (Remember: Germany and Japan were allies at the time.) Espionage in my quaint little village? Apparently so!
