I'm gearing up for my next trip to Gettysburg. Hmm, which book shall I reread first?
I usually try to be there between July 1-3, when the battle took place, but this year I'll be in Hawaii on those dates. So it will probably be early June. I LOVE this battlefield. It is to Civil War history what the Grand Canyon is to American geography. Here are some pics from past visits.

What else can I possibly say.? There are 1,300 monuments and statues that grab you. I don't ever want to miss an opportunity to learn more about this great nation of ours. Travel always make me realize just how much the past impacts the present!
