Hey guys. Just signed up for my first sprint triathlon of 2026 in Williamsburg. Here's the course:
I'm not very good at any one thing, but I'm pretty good when you put it all together. My goals are definitely more than just finish. I always like to place in the top three in my age group. I just get a lot of satisfaction out of pushing myself further and faster and even just finishing another race. I love the pain. I love the scenery and the challenge. The sprint distance is easy-ish, the James River is warm-ish, and I love the mostly flat bike course. The run is along a pleasant bike trail and a quiet road with no hills to speak of. The race is well organized and has a mellow, chilled vibe. If you'd like to compete in this race, go here and sign up today!
