Here are a few reasons:
- Lower tuition costs (my costs were $50.00 USD per semester, if you can believe that!).
- It can take shorter than your typical U.S. program (I finished in 3 years).
- You work with world-renowned experts in their field.
- Less busy work. A LOT less.
- Immersing yourself in another culture and language (in my case German) fosters personal growth and language skills.
- You can distinguish your CV in a very competitive job market.
