I've waited a full day to resume my ultra training LOL. I'm sure that's all you've been thinking about.
I had the best time today. Which makes me wonder why this dude is frowning.
Why so serious, Dave? Actually, I loved every minute of my training today. The simple sensation of running. The sound of my feet on the ground. The sunshine on my back. The subtle taste of another ultramarathon on the horizon. I loved this day. Seems we are emerging out of the heat of summer and into the cool of autumn. Our days become shorter, our nights longer.
Another reason to be happy? Tonight we get to take our first review exam in Greek class. If you've never taken one of my exams, you have never truly lived. We're already six chapters through our textbook! As in a marathon, you're beginning to feel really good at this point. The sun is in your face, and you're running with your whole heart. Gotta keep feeling strong till the end. You can't see the finish yet, but you know it's there. In 20 more chapters you'll cross the finish line, throw your arms in the air, and yell "YES!" with tears of gratitude in your eyes. It will truly feel like a celebration.
Till then, you've got to keep on running, AND leaning hard on the Lord.
