Know what you need more than anything? What I need? Solitude and time alone with God and the development of our walk with God so that whatever happens in our lives we won't be thrown off course and can stand on our own. As we are able to take in the Scriptures, we allow God's word to impact our daily lives. We are not simply reading the Bible. We are allowing the truth to fulfill its purpose in our lives. Without the Bible you and I would never find our way in life. Without the Spirit using his word we would be hopelessly lost. The Bible is God's map and the Holy Spirit his GPS. And the better we get to know the Scriptures the better we get to know the Lord of the Scriptures and the more intimate we are in that relationship.
