Happy Global Running Day!

It's Global Running Day. It's the day Runner Claus visits all the children and gives them free water bottles. It's the day I'll receive countless well wishes and Hallmark cards celebrating my career as a runner. It's a day your local running shoe store will sell out of Gus. It's a day to post a pic of yourself with a superficial, sappy caption.

"Where would I be without running?" 

It's a day when absolutely zero non-runners will be motivated to go out for a run and will therefore miss out on one of the greatest benefits of the sport -- the smiling selfie.

I do have one question, however. Since I am the world's biggest advocate of running, shouldn't Global Running Day be on my birthday (June 9)?
