Greek student: success in this class means we must get beyond all excuses and rationalizations.
- "I can't."
- "I don't have any language aptitude."
- "I'm so busy."
- "My study habits are terrible."
- "This is my very first foreign language."
- "I was terrible in English."
- "Do you know how young (or old) I am?"
This semester, at some point you're going to say, "Lord, I'm in way over my head. I'm so totally inadequate." Good! In Jeremiah 1, Jeremiah told the Lord, "I'm too young. I can't do this!" God told him not to use his age (or anything else) as an excuse. God promised to be with him and put his words in his mouth. God told him to speak whatever he commanded. And God commanded him to go wherever he sent him.
The Lord provided EVERYTHING that was missing.
It's the same for us today.
God will enable you.
