The healthy cows with bells.
The clean rivers.
The stunning scenery.
The chocolate.
The mountains.
The friendly people.
The efficiency.
The fresh air.
History everywhere.
The traditions.
Something different in every city.
Total acceptance (no sense of being a foreigner).
Political stability.
One other thing. I'm really impressed by the expectation of responsibility among tourists. No big "DANGER" signs or fences restricting activity and poor decision making. Of course, you need to act wisely. I've never climbed a peak without a mountain guide (about $840 per day but worth every penny). Lord willing, I'll be back in Zermatt next summer to climb the Mettelhorn.
It's a vacation you don't want to end.
