Have you noticed? Life out in the country moves a little bit slower. I've lived in big cities (LA) and next to the ocean (Kailua) and in city suburbs (Basel). But it wasn't until I moved out to the country that I felt I could really breath. For example, this is my farm road.

Quite a contrast from Raleigh, wouldn't you say? Did you know that rural areas comprise 97% of U.S. land but only 3% of the population lives there? Which means there's lots of room for you. Of course, you don't have to live in the country to find sunshine and trees. But you'll definitely find more of it than you will in the cities and suburbs. John Denver knew what he was singing about in his song Country Roads. There's nothing more beautiful than the expanse of sky over a pasture. In the country, it's just clear skies and empty roads.
