I'm at my Wake Forest office today getting some writing done, but I'm also doing some reading in my Hebrew New Testament just for the fun of it.
Here are the final verses in the Gospel of Matthew.
I just love how the Hebrew translates the Greek. Instead of "I am with you
always" it has "I am with you
all the days," which corresponds perfectly to the Greek's
pasas tas hemeras. The idea is that our Lord is with us "daily" or "each and every day."
What a lovely thought. God is the ever-present presence. Jesus assures us that he is with us day after day after day, always, even unto the end of the age. A truly wonderful reminder.
Hope you're having a great day.
