This was my view this morning while driving to Bojangles.
It's a picture of a neighboring farm, a vineyard actually. Viticulture has really taken off in Southside Virginia as more and more farmers get out of tobacco production.
At Bojangles I sipped coffee (I am addicted to very fond of Bo's coffee) and read 1 Corinthians. This passage really spoke to me:
What are you so puffed up about? What do have that God hasn't given you? And if all you have is from God, why act as though you are great, and as though you have accomplished something on your own?
When there's less of us there's more room for God. The amazing thing? When God breaks our pride it's easier for us to serve and help others. To care, really care about people other than ourselves. To risk everything for God.
What do we have that God hasn't given us? Nothing.
Remember that, Dave. Remember that.
