Running in the Heat -- and a Word of Encouragement

Running in the heat -- a key ingredient, ladies and gentlemen, for all triathletes to consider in their running regiment. My race in 10 days will be in the heat. Heat is one of the biggest impediments to racing fast for triathletes. Today I did a simple 4-mile run out in the heat at our local high school.

Excited to inspire you, all you runners and racers out there, to achieve some of those dreams of yours.

Meanwhile, allow me to share with you a couple of verses from this morning's Bible reading time in 2 Corinthians 6. I especially want this to be an encouragement to those of you out there who are keeping up the good fight against postmodernism in the church:

We try to live in such a way that no one will ever be offended or kept back from finding the Lord by the way we act, so that no one can find fault with us and blame it on the Lord. In fact, in everything we do we try to show that we are true ministers of God.

We stand true to the Lord whether others honor us or despise us, whether they criticize us or commend us.

The world ignores us, but we are known to God.

Blessings,

Dave
