Sharing the Danger (Phil. 2:25)

In Phil. 2:25, Paul uses three terms to refer to Epaphroditus:

  • Brother
  • Fellow worker
  • Fellow soldier

Epaphroditus and Paul were members of the same family. That's true of all Christians. But they were also co-workers in the gospel. Ideally, all believers will want to be involved in the work of evangelism. Finally, they had fought side-by-side against the adversaries of the gospel. This probably involved both hardship and suffering. In short:

  • They had shared the faith.
  • They had shared the work.
  • They had even shared the danger.

Let's make it our goal to do all three!
