Farmville Half Marathon Race Report 2021

I don't know why but there were only a handful of runners at today's half marathon in Farmville.

Moreover, my iPhone camera wasn't working right, so I have only a few pics to share with you (count your blessings). Here's the winner.

His name is George Kipchoge Tolton. He finished with a time of 1:14:49. That's the time I do for 6 miles, not 13.1. His pace was an incredible 5:43. In my wildest imagination I do not think I could even run 1/100th of a mile at that pace. Respect

Not to say that my day wasn't enjoyable. In fact, I really didn't "run a half" today. I simply went out for a nice slow long run.

I didn't try to hang with anybody in front of me. Today's run was completely void of drama. Just get out there and churn out the miles.

The real test comes next weekend.

I got so hungry I just had to stop for some Mexican food in Farmville.

Doesn't everybody? Tonight I think I'll make some French Toast for dinner (which they don't eat in France -- go figure).

As for tomorrow, the one thing I will NOT do is run or bike and anything involving my legs. I may be dumb but I'm not (too) stupid.

Now that you're all caught up with how my day went, you did yours go?
