In my young mind I could not escape the simple but profound philosophy of my college Greek professor. "Know thyself," he told me. I heard those words as I struggled to decide on my career path. I heard them while lying in bed at night and while going through my daily activities. I heard them constantly as I pondered the potential ramifications of what I seemed to be on the verge of doing, then weighed those possible outcomes against the peril of not doing anything at all. Ultimately, the power of those two words finally convinced me that I really had no choice. The classroom it would be.
Know thyself, my dear friend. Know thyself.
