It has to be. All I want to do is get outdoors and put some miles on my legs. The truth is, being a runner means being strong enough to decide not to run for the sake of the greater goal.
When we run, we work hard. But what good is it to stand at the starting line tired or overtrained? Tapering is as much a training tactic as are your weekly runs.
