An Omaha Beach Vet Describes D-DAY

On this day in 1944, many brave men stormed Omaha Beach in Normandy, France. This included Mr. Frank DeVita of New York.

Because of their bravery, you and I are free today. I can only imagine how terrifying their experience must have been. Rest in peace, all who died at:

  • Omaha
  • Juno
  • Gold
  • Sword
  • and Utah

Thank you so much.

The sacrifices of D-Day are some of the most urgent things today's young people need to remember. I have absolute respect for what Mr. DeVita went through during the war and especially on that day. Let's honor their sacrifice today.
