Over time I have discovered something very interesting about myself. Although I'm able to run the same distance over the same route every day for the rest of my life, I also enjoy variety. Having variety keeps the activity fresh and alive in your life. So this morning I decided to get in my 5 miles by running them rather than by walking them.
The challenge, of course, is to jog at a slow enough pace that you tap into your fat storage instead of your glycogen. However, since I normally run about as fast as a wounded tortoise, that didn't seem to be an issue. Anyway, I got my 10,000 miles in (actually more like 11,500).
Hope you're having a great day!
