Years ago I wrote these words in my Greek New Testament at the bottom of this page:
Let nothing in the world
attract you
distract you
sidetrack you.
That's the message of Heb. 12:1-2 in a nutshell. Corrie ten Boom put it this way: "Look inside and be depressed. Look outside and be distressed. Look to him and be at rest."
Come to him as you are and trust him the best you know how.
