There are many ways students get into trouble when learning New Testament Greek. Overthinking is one of them. There are so many questions that arise for beginners.
Why does this sigma drop out and that one doesn't? Why is path the root of paschō? Why does the future of echō have a rough breathing mark? There are good answers to all of these questions but it's often best to let such questions go and focus instead on the most important matters. Stop getting bogged down in a myriad of details. Learn what you have to before moving on to the next chapter. Fine tuning can come later.
