This morning I drove to Farmville -- my favoritest little town in all of Southside Virginia -- for a 10K race. It was the cutest thing you ever saw. There were maybe 50 of us there to run it.
Cozy! I've run on this trail hundreds of time -- from 10K races and half marathons all the way up to 32 mile ultras.
The trail is flat and fast -- even when you're suffering from a typical case of runner's feet. To wit: the toenail on my left foot just fell off. I now have two ugly big toes.
I've decided, by the way ... wait for it! ... to give my toenail away to one lucky reader. All you have to do is leave a comment below and tell me what you would do with my toenail if you were fortunate enough to get it. I know this is going to be hard for some of you to do, especially since comments aren't enabled on my blog. Okay. Maybe you'll just have to repost the pic on all your social media accounts. Wouldn't that make you popular.
