Hey folks. Been a busy day. It started off with a workout at the gym.
I had to rest for 5 minutes between sets.
In the past, I wasn't training hard enough for hypertrophy to take place. You certainly don't need to train to failure each set, but I do think there's value in going to muscular failure now and then. The bottom line is that muscle growth is an adaptive response to stress. If you're not performing your sets close enough to muscular failure, your body won't have any real incentive to put on any muscle mass.
That said, I had enough left in my tank to drive to Danville and get in an easy 4-mile run on the gorgeous Riverwalk trail system.
As you can see, it was a perfect day.
Although the sun was shining, the day never got warm.
The Dan River always fascinates me. There are dams.
There are bridges.
