The Chicago Marathon is tomorrow. I ran this race in 2019.
There is no big city in the U.S. I love more.
And yes, the "windy" city lived up to its name.
The race was cold and windy. This year's race will see runners from all 50 wards of Chicago plus 100 nations of the world. One million spectators will descend on the city to take it all in. The year I ran it, the women's marathon world record was broken. Perfect weather is forecast for this historic race. It's weather runners can only dream of. I wish all 40,000 runners success.
And a special shout out to all the volunteers who make these races possible!
