Good Monday morning! I was up at 4:30 raring to get the week started. I couldn't wait to get to the gym and do my workout.
Now I'm headed to campus. Today I'm thinking a lot about gratitude and how practicing being thankful actually dates back to biblical times (and not just to "Thanksgiving" Day). I am thankful for the good night's sleep I got last night. I am grateful to be able to get out of bed. I am grateful to be able to walk. I am grateful to have a car and gas money. I am grateful for the massage I will have today and for the class I will teach tonight. I am thankful that I am not uglier today than I was yesterday. I am thankful for the inspiration I find in God's word. I am thankful for food, for the internet, for friends and family. I am thankful that my life is in (relative) balance. Not a day goes by that I do not count my blessings. I have never in my life had so much to cherish -- or to lose.
You value what you notice. Notice the small things today. Even if it's something as simple as a cup of hot coffee.
Love you!
