After my morning workout today, I drove to Farmville to get in an easy 10 mile bike ride on the High Bridge Trail.
The day was perfect for cycling.
I noticed that the leaves had already started to change color.
From what I've read, the fall foliage this year should be amazing, due partly to the 5 inches of rain we got recently. Plus, the nights being so cool has really jump-started the trees. Clear sunny days + cool nights = vibrant colors. The lower down you are, the later the colors peak. A friend of mine who lives in Wilkesboro, NC, sent me this foliage chart.
I'm looking forward to climb Hanging Rock in a couple of weeks to see the foliage as well as get in a hike.
I love Fall!
