I consider "God Only Knows" to be the Beach Boys' greatest song.
It's amazing when you think that in a span of only two years Brian Wilson wrote and produced "God Only Knows," "Good Vibrations," "Wouldn't It Be Nice," and "Surf's Up." My musical soul gets so many good vibes from all of Brian's songs. But I think "God Only Knows" is the strongest of them all, both musically and lyrically. See if you don't agree. The incredible harmonies at the end are simply out of this world. This coming from a diehard Beatles fan!
